  • How many markets does Weaver serve? A total of five: Colorado, Las Vegas, New Orleans, San Diego and San Francisco.

  • How many publications does Weaver produce each year? Approximately 26, or one every two weeks.

  • What is an “official” publisher? As the official publisher for convention and visitors bureaus around the country, Weaver is responsible for selling advertising, writing copy, designing and printing magazines that deliver the organization’s message to a targeted group. These groups can include leisure travelers, travel agents, meeting planners or anyone else interested in visiting a city or region. Weaver’s services cost the organization nothing; however, in exchange for producing the publication, Weaver retains all advertising revenue generated.

  • Why do the Weaver offices in each city have different company names? Our local offices are each incorporated in the state where they do business, and have company names that reflect their location: Weaver Las Vegas, Weaver New Orleans, Weaver Pacific and Weaver North Pacific Publications. This structure makes Weaver an integral part of the local business community and a local resource for other members of the travel and tourism industry in that location. All the companies exist under the umbrella of Weaver Publications, Inc., which provides for future expansion.

  • What do the local offices do? They serve the markets’ sales needs while all management and creative services are provided by Weaver Publications in Denver. Advertisers and our bureau LINKS always have a local presence and on-site account executives to provide them information and service.

  • How many people work for Weaver? As of September 1, 2000, the home office staff slightly outnumbers the account executives working in offices around the nation: 18 people in Denver, 13 in the sales force.

  • What is Weaver’s management structure? Weaver Publications is a small family-owned corporation run by a five-member management team. The team management structure reflects the interdependence of all departments and the importance of all employees in creating a final product that meets the needs of not only advertisers and client organizations, but also the ultimate end-users -- the readers.

  • How can I reach a member of the Weaver staff? Check out the Contact Us section of this Web site, and e-mail us. We’ll make sure your communique is directed to the appropriate party and you should hear back shortly.

  • How do I get a copy of your guides? Click on Order Forms at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions to order online. For publications not offered online, you must contact the sponsoring organization directly.

  • How can I have my business featured in your guides? In New Orleans, San Diego and San Francisco, you must be a member of the local Convention and Visitors Bureau to receive a listing in any publication. You can obtain membership information on their Web sites: www.neworleanscvb.com; www.sandiego.org; or www.sfvisitor.org. In Colorado and Las Vegas, listings are handled by Weaver directly, on a space–permitting basis, with preference given to advertisers. To place an ad in any of our publications, please see our INTERESTED IN ADVERTISING? page.

  • If I decide to advertise with you, how do I get my artwork to you? For the past year, Weaver has accepted advertising artwork in electronic format only; we will not accept camera–ready or film ads. To supply artwork, you can send us a disk, e-mail your files to ad@weaver-group.com(for files smaller than 10K) or upload to our FTP site. Please click on Ad Artwork Requirements under the specific publication for FTP instructions.

  • How can Weaver afford to publish such high-quality guides if you don’t charge for them? We are entirely advertising supported.
